Terms of Use

bandz provides a discovery and organization platform for information about live music events, artists, and venues (bars, music houses, and cultural spaces). The service is available as a mobile app (iOS and Android) and on the web.

Unless explicitly stated, bandz is not the event organizer, does not sell tickets directly, and is not responsible for the execution, quality, or cancellation of third-party events.

To create a bandz account, you must be at least 16 years old. Users between 16 and 18 should use the service with their legal guardian's awareness, per the Brazilian Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) and the LGPD.

Use of bandz by anyone under 13 is expressly prohibited.

You can create an account using Apple, Google, Facebook, Spotify, phone, or browse anonymously with limited features. Each person should maintain only one account.

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
• Protect credentials and devices used for account access.
• Notify bandz immediately of unauthorized use of your account.
• Comply with applicable law and these Terms while using the service.

Use of the platform is prohibited for:

• Scraping, bots, or automated data collection without express authorization.
• Creating fake profiles or impersonating artists, venues, or other users.
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or any form of abuse toward other users.
• Intentionally publishing false information about events, artists, or venues.
• Spam, unsolicited content distribution, or unauthorized advertising.
• Reverse engineering, decompilation, or interference with service infrastructure.
• Use for illegal purposes or violation of third-party rights.

By submitting content on the platform (such as reviews, comments, or profile information), you retain ownership but grant bandz a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to display, distribute, and use that content within the platform.

You are responsible for the legality of content you publish. bandz reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms, third-party rights, or applicable law.

bandz operates as a catalog of publicly available information about the music scene. Some displayed content -- including artist profiles, venue profiles, and events -- may be created by the bandz team or by third parties from publicly available information (social media, websites, venue schedules).

bandz does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of such information. You are responsible for validating essential event details (date, time, location, cost) before making any decisions. Links to external sites are outside bandz's control.

Artists, venues, and event organizers may request at any time the correction, update, or removal of their profile or associated information on the platform by contacting legal@bandz.app. Requests will be handled within 5 business days.

The bandz brand (always lowercase), interface, software, design, and related assets are protected by intellectual property rights. Copying, modifying, distributing, or commercial exploitation without authorization is prohibited.

Feedback and suggestions sent to bandz may be incorporated into the product without compensation or attribution, unless otherwise agreed.

bandz is currently free for all users. Artists will always have free access to the platform, as a core product principle.

If paid features are introduced in the future, they will be clearly disclosed before any charges. bandz does not process ticket payments -- any ticket transactions are the responsibility of the event organizer or ticketing platform.

bandz is exclusively a discovery platform and information catalog. To the maximum extent permitted by law, bandz does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, absence of errors, or absolute accuracy of displayed information. The service is provided as is, with ongoing improvements.

By using bandz, you acknowledge and accept that:

• bandz does not organize, produce, sponsor, or have any operational involvement with listed events.
• bandz is not responsible for cancellations, delays, schedule changes, performance quality, artist no-shows, or venue conditions. These responsibilities lie exclusively with the respective organizers and establishments.
• Information about events, artists, and venues may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for confirming details directly with the organizer or venue before making any decisions.
• bandz is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use or inability to use the platform.
• bandz is not responsible for interactions, agreements, or disputes between users, artists, venues, or any third parties.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liabilities that cannot be legally excluded or limited, including those under the Consumer Protection Code (Law 8,078/1990).

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold bandz, its founders, collaborators, and partners harmless from any claims, demands, damages, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from or related to:

• Violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
• Improper, fraudulent, or abusive use of the platform.
• Content you publish, transmit, or make available through bandz.
• Violation of third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or image rights.
• Any third-party claims arising from your actions or omissions while using the platform.
• This obligation is proportional and does not prejudice rights guaranteed by the Consumer Protection Code.

We may suspend or terminate your access for Terms violations, security risks, abusive use, or legal requirements.

You can request account deletion at any time via the app or by email. Data deletion follows the Privacy Policy retention schedule. Accounts inactive for over 24 consecutive months may be automatically terminated.

bandz is an early-stage product under active development. Features may be added, modified, or removed without prior notice.

We do not offer service level agreements (SLAs). Downtime periods may occur for maintenance and updates. Your feedback is valued and can be sent to legal@bandz.app.

Personal data processing follows the Privacy Policy. By using bandz, you acknowledge that data may be processed to operate, protect, and improve the platform as described in that document.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, including the Consumer Protection Code (Law 8,078/1990) and the LGPD (Law 13,709/2018).

The courts of Campinas, State of Sao Paulo, are elected for dispute resolution, without prejudice to the consumer's domicile forum when applicable.

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The active version will remain available on this page with its update date.

For material changes affecting your rights, we will aim to provide at least 15 days' advance notice via in-app notification or email when feasible.

• Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and bandz regarding use of the platform, superseding any prior understandings on the same subject matter.
• Severability: if any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
• Waiver: bandz's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce it at any time.
• Assignment: bandz may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time. You may not assign your rights or obligations without prior written authorization.
